When searching for a retirement community or assisted living facility, it’s important to consider both your short and long-term healthcare needs. The Cedars offers both Independent Living and Assisted Living services to account for residents’ changing needs. Whether you’re beginning retirement with a clean bill of health or require assistance from a care team, you can feel good about spending your golden years with us.
Our friends at Hutton remodeled the entryway and community areas of our Assisted Living facility. Our residents and staff love the new look!
Older adults of all ages call The Cedars home, drawn to our community for the care we provide at all stages of life. Moreover, our home health services are provided by outside agencies and are tailored specifically to your healthcare needs. Residents benefit from our new Memory Care unit and our Rehabilitation program, designed to give residents time to recuperate from illness or injury.
Other benefits of health services at The Cedars:
Enjoyable recreational and social activities are key to a fulfilling life. At The Cedars, residents can participate in regular meetups, including coffee groups, book clubs, exercise classes, and more.
Further, our on-site chaplain leads optional religious services and provides pastoral care support and counseling. Outside, residents spend their days meandering down the walking path to the lake for quiet afternoons on our beautiful, 60-acre campus. We regularly have volunteers visit for performances, crafts, or pampering with haircuts and manicures.
Our volunteers also provide the following services for our residents:
Our residents can participate in our frequent field trips and outings, including sporting events or afternoons on the town. Many of our residents attended McPherson College or lived their whole lives in the surrounding areas, like Hutchinson, Salina, and Wichita, so we are heavily focused on the local community.
In addition to services tailored to Independent Senior Living residents, The Cedars offers Assisted Living, Healthcare Living, and other arrangements for residents who may require special care, and we can accommodate your changing housing needs as you age.
