Our skilled nursing units are centered neighborhoods where all residents have the opportunity to share meals and socialize with their neighbors.

Our north neighborhoods--Walnut Grove, Magnolia Lane, Rosewood Hollow and Evergreen Lane--are located in The Cedar’s main building. Each area has its own nursing station and most contain a dining room and activity area where residents can gather. A common area for socializing serves all neighborhoods.

Our south neighborhoods are on the east side of our campus at the corner of First and Maxwell Streets. These four group homes accommodate 12-14 residents in private rooms centered around a common kitchen and large sitting and activity area. Each has a large patio so residents can fully enjoy the gorgeous lake views. To take advantage of the full amenities and social opportunities at The Cedars, our transportation department makes regular and frequent trips between the Maxwell Houses to the main building.

Both sets of neighborhoods have their own Director of Nursing and share a dedicated Activities Director to ensure that all residents are given the opportunity to stay active both physically and mentally active.
